3 Lessons My Stutter Taught Me About Doing Great Work

1.Adaptability

Stuttering isn't something focus prevents, it's something you learn to ride. You know a wave is coming. You just don't know when. That's exactly what I bring to work: you can't control the unexpected, but you can control how ready you are for it.

2.Confidence

People notice my energy before anything else. Confidence isn't something you wait to feel, it's something you build by doing the uncomfortable thing until it's second nature. It gets easier every time. I promise.

3.Patience

Stuttering takes time, and it deserves space. That's taught me to choose my words with intention, since I only get so many to make a point. It's also made me hyper aware of what an audience actually needs to hear, and why.

I've worked across the full scope of a project, from early brand conversations, scoping and content direction through to calendars, workflows, and execution. I've experienced both focused sprints and long-term strategies.

AI Solutions

grAIce

grAIce is my AI solutions business. The mission is simple: save businesses time and money through AI. The vision is bigger, a world where AI is second nature for every business, not a special initiative or a separate department, just how things run.

Every project below was built through grAIce. AI is what let me deliver marketing expertise at scale, but the work speaks for itself first, strategy, story, and execution matter more than what ran in the background.

My AI Philosophy

There's a lot of AI slop out there, generic copy, obviously AI visuals, unoriginal work, more volume than value. AI slop is what happens when AI replaces the human mind instead of working alongside it. That's not what I build. Most of my work with AI happens in the background, research, workflow, automation, the parts that never touch what a customer actually sees, because I still believe human insight is what makes content resonate. But I'm not limited to the background. gearUP's brand film is proof I can build AI-facing work too, when it's led by a human hand at every step instead of left to run on its own. My rule either way: AI can get you 80% there. The other 20% is still yours to add.

Early Experiment

My first hands-on attempt at AI video generation. Not polished, but proof I can build with these tools directly, not just talk about them.

AI Brand Film

gearUP

Directed and produced an AI generated brand film for gearUP, from concept through final cut. Chose the shots, selected the voiceover and music, color graded and paced the edit, and built out the AI video generation myself. Currently exploring more ways to work together on their marketing.

This is a highlight reel, cut down from the original video.

"Our favorite part of the collaboration was making the impossible, possible. We wanted an internal brand film to get our sales team excited, and with our current resources it wouldn't have been possible without you. You took our idea and turned it into something real, and stayed patient with us through every round of edits."

Marketing Director, gearUP

The video was later shared with Brian Bennett, a creative director whose past work includes campaigns for Carhartt and time at Wieden+Kennedy. He loved it.

Brand Strategy and LinkedIn Presence

Matt Foss

A consultant working with high-level executives wanted to build a LinkedIn presence that felt authentic to who he is, not just polished for the sake of it. Working alongside a brand designer and a Nike executive overseeing creative direction, I developed a six-month content strategy built around his story, voice, and long-term goals, along with a repeatable system he could continue using independently.

"Graceson didn't just give me a content strategy, he broke down the building blocks of how to show up consistently, align with my brand, and scale it with AI. I walked away with a clear roadmap and repeatable system I can use long after our work together."

12-Month Marketing Infrastructure

Kaddas Enterprises

This engagement started with foundational work, including developing detailed ICP profiles and a four-phase annual content calendar, and grew into a broader project management role. I helped set up their workflow inside Monday.com so the CEO and her team had a shared, organized system for tracking content, tasks, and priorities. Once the first content batch went live under that system, one LinkedIn post nearly doubled the combined performance of every post Kaddas had published before it, within three weeks of launch.

The Airtable system built for Kaddas: 96 pieces of content organized across 4 strategic phases, tracked by audience, content pillar, and format, giving the whole team a live, shared view of what's moving through the pipeline.

Social Media and Content Systems

Religious Non-Profit Organization

The organization wanted a stronger, more consistent presence across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram without expanding their team. I helped streamline their content production process using AI-assisted tools, cutting a fully manual clipping process down to 50 broadcast-ready clips in under 20 minutes and freeing up capacity for higher-level work. Over about a year, YouTube views grew from 14K to 179K and subscribers grew from 1K to 2.1K, surpassing 4,000 watch hours and unlocking YouTube Partner monetization. The year before that, growing a TikTok account from 63 to 235 followers is what led to being asked to take on YouTube in the first place.
